Nestled in the breathtaking landscapes of the West Coast, our absolute beachfront, luxury boutique accommodation invites you to unwind and indulge in the tranquility that surrounds you. With just three elegantly appointed guest rooms, each featuring its own ensuite, and a maximum of seven guests, you can expect unparalleled privacy, personalized service, and ultimate comfort.
While our minimum stay is one night, we highly recommend extending your visit to at least two nights to fully embrace everything the Lodge and the stunning region have to offer.

Awatuna Sunset Lodge - not just a bed for the night, it's a memorable experience!
Included in the cost of accommodation:
- A garden-to-plate 3-course dinner (drinks excluded) is included IF you are on our dinner, bed and breakfast package.
- All food is freshly prepared from scratch to order using ingredients from our garden, local and the finest quality.

- Please note we need dinner orders for the first-night stay by 10 am the previous day as we pick, buy, and prepare food to order.
- Share a complimentary drink and antipasto at 6 pm every evening with your hosts and other guests (sundowners).
- Continental plus full-cooked breakfast. All breads, including gluten-free, jams, yoghurts, sauces, etc made fresh by Elizabeth.
- Unlimited barista-made espresso coffee (2-group commercial espresso machine) is available from 7 am -9 pm daily. We use local Fat Cat Coffee beans. Or help yourself to a large range of teas, instant and plunger coffee available in the guest lounge 24/7 during your stay.
- Seasonal fruit, walnuts, and vegetables, which are used in our cooking, jams, and sauces, are grown on-site, and we have over 30 chickens for fresh eggs.
- Take a tour with Selwyn in an Argo amphibious craft that takes people on a complimentary nature tour of the property, across the creek, to the beach where you can also watch the sunset, see penguin footprints (May – December), seals and their babies in spring, look for Pounamu (Jade) and other precious stones (weather permitting).
- Seaview spa pool can be booked for private use.
- Heated, outdoor above ground swimming pool 5.4 metres x 3 metres.
- Large gardens to explore.
- A double kayak for guests to use to gently kayak up Waimea Creek (must be competent swimmers and life jackets and helmets are provided and the disclaimer signed).
- Pan for gold in Waimea Creek.
Also available for purchase throughout the stay:

- Complimentary barista-made espresso coffee throughout the day.

Tasman King Room
Welcome to the Tasman King Room, our largest room designed for those who crave a spacious sanctuary after a day of adventure on New Zealand's breathtaking West Coast. With elegant double French doors that open onto a sun-drenched deck offering panoramic sea views from this beachfront room, this is the perfect haven to unwind and immerse yourself in the serene beauty of your surroundings. Slip into your plush king-size bed and let the soothing sound of the waves gently lull you into a restful sleep.
A minimum two-night stay is recommended to enjoy all that the Lodge and the region has to offer.

Waimea King Room
Experience the elegance of our Waimea King Room, where you can lie on the bed and look directly at the sea. Featuring French doors that lead to our largest and spacious, covered deck with stunning sea views—perfect for enjoying a sunset drink from this beachfront room. Drift off to sleep in your plush king-size bed, serenaded by the soothing sounds of the ocean waves.
We recommend a minimum two-night stay to fully immerse yourself in the beauty of the Lodge and the surrounding region.

Tui Triple Room
Please note that this room is unavailable during off-peak seasons. If you require twin beds or are traveling in a group needing three rooms, please reach out to us directly to arrange your booking.
Featuring a cozy queen bed and a king single, this room is perfectly designed for twin or triple travelers, as well as groups seeking a shared space. Enjoy the convenience of an ensuite bathroom complete with a refreshing rain-head shower.
Located at the front of the property, this room does experience some traffic noise, though the double-glazed windows help to minimize it. Please note that this room does not offer sea views.
