A roasted vegetable stack of potato, pumpkin, kumara, capsicum, mushroom, and red onion served with quinoa rice and a tomato and red wine relish.
Venison Saltimbocca
Italian- Kiwi Fusion. Grass-fed venison cooked medium rare wrapped in prosciutto crudo (Italian cured bacon), on a bed of caramelized red onions in a balsamic and gin jus served with mashed potatoes and roasted kumara and horopito infused green beans (other seasonal vegetables may be substituted).
Whitebait Pattie
Whitebait we catch in our backyard in Waimea Creek. Traditional, West Coast whitebait pattie, served with Elizabeth's freshly baked bread, hand-cut fries, one of our freshly laid free-range eggs, lemon from our tree, and local Westgold butter. Served with a side garden salad. Our land-to-plate dining at its finest!
Instructions on how to eat this sarnie (Kiwi slang for sandwich):
Take 2 slices of freshly baked white bread
Spread Westgold butter on bread
Place whitebait patties on bread, and add a dash of salt to taste (optional)
Squeeze fresh lemon on patties
Place the second piece of bread on top.
Pick up your sarnie and eat, delicious................
