It's paint the ceilings day. You may have noticed, It's paint the ceilings day. You may have noticed, or maybe not, I haven't posted any photos of Selwyn plastering.  On his first day, I asked how the plastering was going? Selwyn's response, "I'd prefer to unblock the septic tank than plaster." I thought it was best to stay away.......... Good news, it is done, phew!

Join us for a social evening of hands-on learning and fun cooking classes. Classes will be running throughout June to end of August. Pizza classes will be advertised soon.

Buona sera, our cooking classes have kicked off ag Buona sera, our cooking classes have kicked off again for the off-peak season. 

We have spaces available for our pasta and tiramisu classes on:
 Sunday 15th June
 Tuesday 17th June 
Thursday 19th June.

Classes are limitied to 4 people. 

Cost is $125 per person.

Included in the course:
-Prosecco and antipasto and a meet and greet (alcoholic and non-alcoholic available). 
-All ingredients provided.
-Learn to cook, fresh pasta, sauces and tiramisu.
-Enjoy a group dinner of our freshly made pasta and dessert.
-bring an egg carton if you would like to take some of our free-range eggs home.
-Recipes emailed after the evening.

Whitebait Taster

Try an entree-sized traditional whitebait pattie from our own Waimea Creek, cooked in our free-range fresh-laid egg and served with lemon from our tress, salad, and a freshly-made slice of white bread. Instructions on how to eat this sarnie (Kiwi slang for sandwich):

  • Take 1/2 slice of freshly baked white bread
  • Spread Westgold butter on bread
  • Place whitebait patties on bread, and add a dash of salt to taste (optional)
  • Squeeze fresh lemon on patties
  • Place the second half piece of bread on top.
  • Pick up your sarnie and eat, delicious................

Whitebait we catch in our backyard in Waimea Creek.
