We had a fun night making and sharing pasta and ti We had a fun night making and sharing pasta and tiramisu.  We made ricotta ravioli in a fresh napoletana sauce and fettuccine in a creamy bacon and mushroom sauce. Tiramisu had a choice of caffeine or decaf coffee and a good nip of rum.

What an honour to receive this oil painting of our What an honour to receive this oil painting of our place from a guest who stayed with us early this summer season from Sydney. 	Haiyan Jiang has graciously painted and gifted this painting to us. Staying with her family, she also recommended friends stay here while they travelled through New Zealand. Thank you to Weiping for carrying this beautiful art for us and presenting it while staying here this Easter with your lovely family. We are overwhelmed at people's generostiy, kindness and talent.

It's been many years since they went their separate ways to different high schools but social media has brought most of the class back together. 
It's Selwyn's turn soon for a reunion with a trip to Methven to his school's centenary celebrations.

  • Spread Westgold butter on bread
  • Place whitebait patties on bread, and add a dash of salt to taste (optional)
  • Squeeze fresh lemon on patties
  • Place the second half piece of bread on top.
